Can A Non Surgical Face Lift Work For You?

The cosmetic surgery industry has made tens of billions of dollars off of the desire by people to look younger. A normal facelift by a cosmetic surgeon can cost upwards of 6,000 dollars or more. There are, however, much cheaper non-surgical face lift methods. While some of these descriptions may sound like something you would want to rush out and get tomorrow, you should always check with a doctor before getting any cosmetic work done.

The first new way of getting the results of a traditional facelift but with no surgery and for only a fraction of the cost is by using what is called thermage. Thermage treatment uses radio frequencies instead of a laser. The radio waves penetrate deep within the skin and spark new growth of collagen within your facial skin layers. Increases in collagen will help firm up the face, and although it is still expensive at $1500, it’s much less than a facelift and can provide many of the same results in people who are beginning to lose the shape of their face who want to regain their youthful appearance.

A second new way to get that facelift without going under the knife is with what is called Laser Toning. The laser is able to penetrate the skin without breaking it, and then the laser heats up the inside of the skin, causing collagen to re-grow in places where it had stopped growing. The main benefit is that this new laser treatment is for all skin types. The old-style laser treatments were not. The total cost for this treatment is about $1200, broken up into three or four different trips to the specialist.

Another new way that people are living out their facelift dreams is through a new synthetic collagen that is called cosmoplast. This is human collagen that has been engineered in a lab and is safe to inject into the body. Old collagen injections were actually using cow collagen, and many people were allergic to it. Cosmoplast is 100% safe since it is based on human collagen. After a treatment, the body slowly absorbs the safe, human collagen and many parts of the face begin to take on a younger, firmer look. Collagen is the key to this procedure.

Collagen is the most common and plentiful protein found in the body. Its’ job is to provide support all over your body, not just to your skin. It helps out with bone, tendons and muscle, as well as skin. Collagen is used in the body a lot like a blanket. The bits of collagen under the skin are woven together like a piece of fabric and used to support the face. This is why collagen injections have been used for decades to try to firm up the face, but cosmoplast is a much better alternative to traditional collagen.
